Lingerie has always reflected and to a certain extent influenced the fashion of the time. The 1970’s saw the liberation of the constraints of womanhood and as many shed their bras in protest so the clothes moved to figure hugging shirts and styles which needed little in the way of lingerie. However the 1980’s was a different story, the Wonderbra influenced the move towards flattering and flaunting fashion when inner wear became outer wear thanks to fashion icons such as Madonna.  The 1990’s saw a revival of the close fitting styles of the 1970’s which is again to be reset this year. This year look out for lingerie styles which work to both support and to flatter the sleek new appearance of the fashion trend.
